Optometric Technician

Responsibilities

• Execute Total Patient Experience to build patient relationships
• Operate optical equipment including manual/auto-lensometer, autorefractor, retinal camera, and OCT
• Perform initial testing to prepare patients for optometrist exams
• Follow scripting for testing equipment and photos
• Clean examination equipment and tonometer tips
• Comply with HIPAA and company policies
• Maintain a positive, team-oriented work environment

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 1 year of customer or patient interaction experience
• Ability to pass a state-required background check
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
• Strong fine motor skills and visual/auditory acuity

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous medical office experience
• Previous ophthalmic experience
