About the role
Responsibilities
- Execute Total Patient Experience to build patient relationships
- Operate optical equipment including manual/auto-lensometer, autorefractor, retinal camera, and OCT
- Perform initial testing to prepare patients for optometrist exams
- Follow scripting for testing equipment and photos
- Clean examination equipment and tonometer tips
- Comply with HIPAA and company policies
- Maintain a positive, team-oriented work environment
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 1 year of customer or patient interaction experience
- Ability to pass a state-required background check
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
- Strong fine motor skills and visual/auditory acuity
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous medical office experience
- Previous ophthalmic experience
