Optometric Technician

Responsibilities

• Assist optometrists by performing initial patient testing using optical equipment
• Operate specialized tools including manual/auto-lensometers, autorefractors, retinal cameras, and OCT
• Execute the "Total Patient Experience" to build strong relationships with patients
• Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment, including examination equipment
• Comply with all company policies and HIPAA regulations
• Perform general office duties and maintain a professional, team-oriented attitude
• Manage patient time efficiently to support the doctor's schedule

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer or patient interaction
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Ability to pass a background check and provide proof of right to work in the US
• Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a medical office setting
• Prior ophthalmic or optometric technician experience
