Optometric Technician

Responsibilities

• Assist optometrists by performing initial patient testing using various optical equipment to prepare for exams
• Operate specialized equipment including manual/auto-lensometers, autorefractor/keratometer, retinal cameras, and OCT
• Execute the "Total Patient Experience" to build strong relationships with patients while providing medical support
• Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment, including cleaning examination equipment and tonometer tips
• Comply with all company policies and procedures, including HIPAA regulations
• Manage general office duties and maintain a professional, team-oriented work environment

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a position interacting with customers or patients
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
• Ability to pass a background check as required by the state
• Ability to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous medical office experience
• Previous ophthalmic or eye care experience
