About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist optometrists in providing a world-class Total Patient Experience
- Perform initial eye testing using specialized equipment including manual/auto-lensometers, autorefractors, retinal cameras, and visual field machines
- Follow specific scripting for testing equipment and procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment, including cleaning examination equipment
- Comply with all company policies and HIPAA regulations
- Manage general office duties and maintain a professional, team-oriented attitude
- Support patient flow with urgency to respect the schedules of both patients and doctors
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service or patient-facing role
- Ability to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States
- Ability to pass a background check as required by the state
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a medical office setting
- Previous experience in ophthalmic or optometric environments
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
