Optometric Technician

Responsibilities

• Assist optometrists in providing a world-class patient experience through medical support and relationship building
• Perform initial eye testing using optical equipment including manual/auto-lensometers, autorefractors, retinal cameras, and visual field machines
• Follow specific scripting for testing equipment such as photos and visual activities
• Maintain a clean and professional environment by cleaning examination equipment and performing general office duties
• Comply with all company policies and procedures, including HIPAA regulations
• Manage patient time efficiently to support the doctor's schedule and maintain office urgency

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service or patient-facing role
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
• Ability to pass a background check as required by the state
• Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous medical office experience
• Previous ophthalmic or eye care experience
