Optometric Technician

Responsibilities

• Assist optometrists by performing initial patient testing using specialized optical equipment
• Operate equipment including manual/auto-lensometers, autorefractor/keratometer, retinal cameras, and OCT
• Execute the Total Patient Experience to build strong relationships with all patients
• Comply with all company policies and procedures, including HIPAA regulations
• Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment, including cleaning examination equipment
• Perform general office duties and maintain a professional, team-oriented work environment
• Manage patient time efficiently to support the doctor's schedule and clinic flow

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service or patient-facing role
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Ability to pass a background check as required by the state
• Ability to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous medical office experience
• Previous ophthalmic or optometric experience
