Optometric Technician

Responsibilities

• Assist optometrists in providing a world-class Total Patient Experience
• Perform initial patient testing using optical equipment including manual/auto-lensometers, autorefractor/keratometer, retinal cameras, and visual field machines
• Follow established scripting for testing equipment and procedures
• Maintain a clean and professional environment by cleaning examination equipment and performing general office duties
• Comply with all company policies and procedures, including HIPAA regulations
• Practice urgency to respect the time of both patients and doctors

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service or patient-facing role
• Ability to pass a background check as required by the state
• Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous medical office experience
• Previous ophthalmic or optometric experience
