Optometric Technician

Responsibilities

• Assist optometrists by performing initial patient testing and operating optical equipment
• Operate specialized tools including manual/auto-lensometers, autorefractor/keratometer, retinal cameras, and OCT
• Execute the "Total Patient Experience" to build strong relationships with patients
• Maintain clinical standards by cleaning examination equipment and following HIPAA compliance
• Manage general office duties and maintain a clean, professional clinical environment
• Coordinate with the medical team to ensure efficient scheduling and patient flow

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service or patient-facing role
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Ability to pass a background check and provide proof of right to work in the US
• Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a medical office setting
• Prior experience in ophthalmic or optometric environments
