Optometric Technician

Responsibilities

• Support optometrists by performing initial patient testing and preparing patients for exams
• Operate optical and diagnostic equipment such as autorefractor/keratometer, lensometer, retinal camera, visual field, GDX, or OCT
• Follow testing scripts and maintain accurate, efficient patient flow
• Clean and maintain exam equipment and support general office duties
• Deliver a positive, patient-focused experience while following HIPAA and company policies

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 1 year of customer service or patient-facing experience
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical or office setting
• Strong communication and professional interpersonal skills
• Ability to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications

• Medical office experience
• Ophthalmic experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
