Optometric Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform initial patient testing and prepare patients for optometrist exams
• Operate optical equipment such as lensometers, autorefractors, retinal cameras, visual field, GDX, or OCT
• Follow testing scripts and maintain accurate, timely documentation
• Clean and maintain exam equipment and support general office duties
• Deliver a positive, patient-focused experience while following HIPAA and company policies

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 1 year of customer or patient interaction experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical setting with urgency and professionalism
• Must be able to meet scheduling needs, including occasional weekends or extended hours

Preferred Qualifications

• Medical office experience
• Ophthalmic experience
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
