Optometric Technician

Responsibilities

• Assist optometrists by performing initial patient testing and providing high-quality medical support
• Operate optical equipment including manual/auto-lensometers, autorefractor/keratometer, retinal cameras, and OCT
• Follow specific scripting for testing equipment such as visual fields and photos
• Maintain a clean and professional clinical environment by cleaning examination equipment
• Comply with all company policies and HIPAA regulations
• Deliver a "Total Patient Experience" by building relationships and practicing urgency to respect patient and doctor schedules

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service or patient-facing role
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Ability to pass a background check and provide proof of right to work in the United States
• Ability to perform physical tasks including frequent walking, standing, and lifting up to 25 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous medical office experience
• Previous ophthalmic or eye care experience
