Optometric Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform initial patient testing using optical equipment such as auto-lensometers, retinal cameras, and visual field machines
• Assist optometrists in providing a high-quality Total Patient Experience
• Follow established scripting for testing equipment and procedures
• Maintain and clean examination equipment, including tonometer tips
• Comply with all company policies and HIPAA regulations
• Manage general office duties and maintain a clean clinical environment
• Coordinate with team members to ensure efficient patient flow and scheduling

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service or patient-facing role
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Ability to pass a background check as required by the state
• Ability to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a medical office setting
• Previous experience in ophthalmic or optometric environments
