Optometric Technician

Responsibilities

• Assist optometrists by performing initial patient testing and using optical equipment
• Operate equipment including manual/auto-lensometers, autorefractor/keratometer, retinal camera, visual field, GDX, or OCT
• Execute the Total Patient Experience to build relationships and provide medical support
• Comply with all company policies and procedures, including HIPAA regulations
• Maintain cleanliness of all examination equipment, including tonometer tips
• Perform general office duties and maintain a professional, team-oriented work environment
• Manage patient time efficiently to support the doctor's schedule

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service or patient-facing role
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Ability to pass a background check and provide proof of right to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous medical office experience
• Previous ophthalmic experience
