About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist optometrists by performing initial patient testing and providing high-quality medical support
- Operate optical equipment including manual/auto-lensometers, autorefractor/keratometer, retinal cameras, and OCT
- Follow specific scripting for testing equipment such as visual fields and photos
- Maintain a clean clinical environment by cleaning examination equipment and performing general office duties
- Execute the "Total Patient Experience" to build strong relationships with patients
- Comply with all company policies and HIPAA regulations
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service or patient-facing role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to pass a background check and provide proof of right to work in the US
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous medical office experience
- Previous ophthalmic or optometric experience
