About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist optometrists by performing initial patient testing using specialized optical equipment
- Operate equipment including manual/auto-lensometers, autorefractor/keratometer, retinal cameras, visual field, GDX, or OCT
- Execute the "Total Patient Experience" to build relationships and provide high-quality medical support
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, including HIPAA regulations
- Maintain and clean examination equipment, such as tonometer tips
- Perform general office duties and maintain a clean, professional clinical environment
- Manage patient flow with urgency to respect the time of both patients and doctors
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer or patient interaction
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to pass a background check as required by the state
- Ability to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous medical office experience
- Previous ophthalmic experience
