Optometric Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform initial patient testing using optical equipment to prepare for exams
• Operate manual and auto-lensometers, autorefractor/keratometer, retinal cameras, visual field, GDX, or OCT
• Follow specific scripting for testing equipment including photos and visual activity
• Clean all examination equipment, including tonometer tips
• Deliver a high-quality "Total Patient Experience" by building relationships and providing medical support
• Comply with all company policies and procedures, including HIPAA regulations
• Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment through general office duties

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer or patient-facing role
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Ability to pass a background check as required by the state
• Ability to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous medical office experience
• Previous ophthalmic experience
