Optometric Technician

Responsibilities

• Assist optometrists by performing initial patient testing using various optical equipment to prepare for exams
• Operate specialized equipment including manual/auto-lensometers, autorefractor/keratometer, retinal cameras, visual field, GDX, or OCT
• Follow established scripting for testing equipment such as photos and visual fields
• Maintain a clean and professional environment by cleaning examination equipment and performing general office duties
• Execute the "Total Patient Experience" to build strong relationships with patients while providing medical support
• Comply with all company policies and procedures, including HIPAA regulations

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a position interacting with customers or patients
• Ability to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous medical office experience
• Previous ophthalmic experience
