About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement optimization models to solve complex business problems by formulating objectives, constraints, and decision variables
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into mathematical optimization frameworks
  • Maintain and enhance existing models to ensure alignment with evolving business needs
  • Conduct performance testing and troubleshooting to ensure the efficiency of optimization solutions
  • Provide technical support, training, and documentation for optimization tools and processes
  • Support the deployment and maintenance of models in production environments and assist in data storage integration

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in building and maintaining mathematical optimization models
  • Proficiency in optimization modeling languages such as Gurobi, PuLP, Ampl, or OR tools
  • Strong understanding of mathematical programming (linear, mixed integer, non-linear, and stochastic programming)
  • Advanced Python programming skills and experience with object-oriented programming (OOP)
  • Experience with data storage solutions like Azure Data Lake, Blob Storage, or SQL Server
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related field with operations research coursework

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Power BI for reporting and data visualization
  • Knowledge of cloud environments and their application in optimization solutions
  • Understanding of economic and constraint calculations within optimization models
  • Experience in the oil and gas industry or supply chain management and logistics
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders
