Optician

Responsibilities

• Drive profitable store sales by fostering a retail selling culture and practicing effective sales skills
• Fill ophthalmic eyeglass prescriptions, fit, and adapt lenses and frames using optical prescriptions
• Analyze and interpret prescriptions and lens designs
• Measure pupillary distances and bifocal, trifocal, and progressive placement
• Select and measure frames for facial contour, eye size, bridge size, and temple length
• Fit and adjust eyewear to the face and eyes
• Verify visual acuity and dispense contact lenses
• Ensure high-quality and timely product manufacturing and fabrication

Requirements

• High School Degree or equivalent
• ABO Certification
• 2+ years of experience in Retail Optical
• Basic computer skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to be independent and self-motivated
• Enthusiastic and concise communication skills

• Associate's Degree
