Optician

Responsibilities

• Provide unsurpassed customer service by engaging patients and customers through the brand's selling model
• Perform technical optical tasks including taking and recording measurements and adjusting or fitting eyewear
• Ensure all finished eyewear meets strict optical standards and customer requirements
• Operate Point of Sale (POS) terminals with high accuracy for customer information and payments
• Educate customers on eyewear care, complimentary adjustments, and follow-up services
• Maintain store appearance and visual displays in accordance with company planograms
• Act as a technical resource and role model for other associates to develop optical acumen
• Maintain a safe working environment and follow proper lab safety practices

Requirements

• State licensure (if applicable) or ABO Certification in non-licensed states
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of current optical theory and merchandise
• Proficiency with inventory management systems and technology, including iPads/tablets
• Excellent communication and listening skills
• Ability to stay aware of current fashion trends

Preferred Qualifications

• Actively studying for professional certification
• Previous experience in optical dispensing
• Prior experience in luxury retail or high-end customer service
