Optician Manager

About the Company

Costco is one of the world's largest retailers, operating over 860 warehouse clubs globally. Following its success in France, Costco is expanding with the opening of its third warehouse club in Mulhouse.

Responsibilities

• Manage, animate, and develop the optical department activity
• Recruit, evaluate, and plan the team's schedule
• Maintain relationships with internal Group services such as Purchasing and Finance
• Act as an exemplary optician for the team and mentor apprentices
• Ensure compliance with Costco's ethical code and service quality standards
• Assist members in choosing frames and lenses according to prescriptions
• Perform optical measurements and visual examinations
• Process orders, manage payments, and handle fund movements
• Adjust and fine-tune optical equipment
• Manage stock levels for lenses, supplies, and merchandise
• Ensure safety, storage, and cleanliness standards are met

Requirements

• BTS opticien lunetier, Brevet professionnel d’opticien lunetier, or equivalent
• Experience in optometry and contactology
• Proficiency with Cosium software
• Rigor, discretion, and strong interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience as an optician
• "Basse vision" training
• Proficiency in German
