Optical/Optronics Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and qualify innovative optronic systems such as thermal vision, IR sensors, and laser telemetry
• Perform modeling and studies of optical systems including lenses, mirrors, filters, lasers, and detectors
• Select optical and optronic components based on performance requirements
• Use optical design software for simulations and performance analysis (MTF, tolerancing, alignment)
• Define optronic chain architectures including sensors and image processing
• Monitor manufacturing, assembly, and laboratory testing
• Write technical documentation including specifications, test reports, and validation procedures
• Collaborate with electronic, mechanical, and software engineering teams

Requirements

• Engineering degree (Master's level) in optics, optronics, photonics, or a related field
• Significant experience in designing optronic systems (night vision, IR, LIDAR, etc.)
• Proficiency in optical simulation tools such as Zemax, LightTools, or TracePro
• Knowledge of infrared detection, imaging, sensors, and optoelectronics
• Technical English proficiency
• Scientific rigor, autonomy, and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of signal or image processing
