Optical Technician/Sales Associate

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with patients while delivering medical support
• Determine patient wants and needs to exceed expectations
• Assist patients in selecting frames based on style, color, and facial measurements
• Operate auto-lensometer and manual lensometer
• Educate patients on specific lenses, coatings, and frames
• Collect accurate optical measurements including pupillary distance and vertex distance
• Dispense patient orders and perform frame repairs or adjustments

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year in customer or patient-facing role
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to pass a state-required background check
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Ability to perform physical tasks including walking, standing, and lifting up to 25 lbs
• Strong fine motor skills and visual/auditory acuity

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous medical office experience
• Previous ophthalmic experience
• ABO and NCLE certifications
