Optical Technician/Optician

Responsibilities

• Execute Total Patient Experience to build relationships and deliver medical support
• Determine patient needs and drive retail sales
• Assist patients in selecting frames based on style, color, and facial measurements
• Operate auto-lensometer and manual lensometer
• Educate patients on specific lenses, coatings, and frames
• Collect accurate measurements including pupillary distance, seg heights, and vertex distance
• Dispense patient orders and perform frame repairs and adjustments

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year in a customer or patient-facing role
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to pass a state-required background check
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Ability to perform physical tasks including walking, standing, and lifting up to 25 lbs
• Strong fine motor skills and visual/auditory acuity

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous medical office experience
• Previous ophthalmic experience
• ABO and NCLE certifications
