Optical Technician/Optician

Responsibilities

• Provide a world-class patient experience by building relationships and delivering medical support
• Assist patients in selecting frames based on style, color, and facial measurements
• Educate patients on specific lenses, coatings, and frames to meet their needs
• Accurately collect optical measurements including pupillary distance, seg heights, and vertex distance
• Operate auto-lensometers and manual lensometers
• Dispense glasses and contact lens orders and perform frame repairs or adjustments
• Drive retail sales by identifying and meeting patient wants and needs

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service or a patient-facing role
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Strong fine motor skills for handling delicate optical equipment and frames
• Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, and bending

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous medical office experience
• Previous ophthalmic or optical experience
• ABO or NCLE certifications
