Optical Technician

Responsibilities

• Execute the Total Patient Experience to build relationships and deliver medical support
• Determine patient needs and drive retail sales to exceed expectations
• Assist patients in selecting frames based on style, color, and facial measurements
• Operate auto-lensometers and manual lensometers
• Educate patients on specific lenses, coatings, and frames
• Collect accurate optical measurements including pupillary distance and seg heights
• Dispense patient orders and perform frame repairs and adjustments

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year in a customer-facing or patient-facing role
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to pass a background check
• Legal authorization to work in the United States
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Strong fine motor skills and visual/auditory acuity

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous medical office experience
• Previous ophthalmic experience
• ABO and NCLE certifications
