Optical Technician

Responsibilities

• Deliver a world-class Total Patient Experience by building relationships and providing medical support
• Assist patients in selecting frames based on style, color, and facial measurements
• Educate patients on specific lenses, coatings, and frames to meet their optical needs
• Accurately collect measurements including bridge, eye size, temple length, and pupillary distance
• Operate auto-lensometers and manual lensometers to ensure prescription accuracy
• Dispense glasses and contact lens orders, including frame repairs and adjustments

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service or interacting with patients
• Ability to operate auto-lensometers and manual lensometers
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, and fine motor tasks for frame adjustments

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous medical office or ophthalmic experience
• ABO and NCLE certifications
