About the role
Responsibilities
- Build relationships with patients while delivering medical support
- Determine patient needs and sell optical products to exceed expectations
- Assist patients in selecting frames based on style, color, and facial measurements
- Operate auto-lensometers and manual lensometers
- Educate patients on specific lenses and coatings
- Collect accurate optical measurements including pupillary distance and vertex distance
- Dispense patient orders and perform frame repairs and adjustments
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year in a customer or patient-facing role
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to pass a background check
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong fine motor skills for handling small optical components
- Visual and auditory acuity required for precision tasks
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous medical office experience
- Previous ophthalmic experience
- ABO and NCLE certifications
