Optical Sales Associate

Responsibilities

• Deliver a world-class Total Patient Experience by building relationships and providing medical support
• Assist patients in selecting frames based on style, color, and facial measurements
• Educate patients on specific lenses, coatings, and frames to meet their unique needs
• Accurately collect optical measurements including pupillary distance, seg heights, and vertex distance
• Operate auto-lensometers and manual lensometers to ensure prescription accuracy
• Dispense glasses and contact lens orders and perform frame repairs or adjustments
• Drive retail sales by identifying patient needs and recommending appropriate products

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service or a patient-facing role
• Ability to operate auto-lensometers and manual lensometers
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Ability to perform physical tasks including frequent walking, standing, and fine motor tasks for frame adjustments

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a medical office setting
• Previous ophthalmic or optical experience
• ABO and NCLE certifications
