Optical Sales Associate

Responsibilities

• Deliver a world-class Total Patient Experience by building relationships and providing medical support
• Assist patients in selecting frames based on style, color, and facial measurements
• Educate patients on specific lenses, coatings, and frames to meet their unique needs
• Operate auto-lensometers and manual lensometers to ensure accuracy
• Collect precise optical measurements including pupillary distance, seg heights, and vertex distance
• Dispense glasses and contact lens orders while performing frame repairs and adjustments
• Drive retail sales by connecting patient needs to available goods and services

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service or a patient-facing role
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Ability to operate lensometers
• Strong fine motor skills for handling delicate eyewear and technology
• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a medical office setting
• Previous ophthalmic or optical experience
• ABO or NCLE certifications
