Optical Modem Hardware Intern

Responsibilities

• Test and verify complex electro-optical circuit packs under the guidance of experienced engineers
• Utilize a high-end lab to conduct electrical and optical measurements ranging from DC to hundreds of GHz
• Review and test High-Speed, Digital, Analog control, and DC/DC Power Circuits
• Contribute to the documentation of test plans and reports
• Participate in cross-functional meetings with Signal Integrity, Mechanical, Thermal, and Optical teams
• Design test jig circuits using the Cadence Allegro ECAD Tool Suite

Requirements

• Currently studying for a degree in Electrical, Optical, Computer, or Engineering Physics
• Ability to work onsite 5 days a week in a lab and office environment
• Strong problem-solving skills across electronics, optics, and mechanics
• Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and curious mindset

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with hands-on test and measurement equipment and automation scripts
• Knowledge of high-speed design and transmission line theory
• Understanding of basic Op-Amp and Power circuits
• Knowledge of precision analog design, including noise, precision, and stability budgets
• Experience with circuit design projects and hands-on soldering
