Optical Measurement and Detection Systems Specialist

Responsibilities

• Design, commission, and optimize optical measurement, testing, and detection systems within automated production plants
• Implement 2D/3D image processing tasks for quality inspection, position recognition, identification, and robotics
• Integrate and parameterize industrial vision systems, including Keyence, ABB Integrated Vision, and Vision Tools
• Connect vision systems to PLC and robot controllers
• Support the concept development of new automation solutions
• Analyze and resolve system malfunctions and optimize existing equipment
• Document systems and provide training to operating and maintenance personnel
• Collaborate with design, electrical engineering, software departments, and external suppliers

Requirements

• Technical degree or completed training in Automation Technology, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science
• Sound knowledge of industrial image processing and machine vision
• Practical experience with vision systems such as Keyence, ABB, or Vision Tools
• Programming skills in Siemens S7 / TIA Portal
• Basic knowledge of ABB robotics or ABB controllers
• Understanding of automation processes, sensor technology, and industrial communication
• Fluent German language skills
• English language skills are an advantage
