Optical Bench Integration Technician

Responsibilities

• Integrate mechanical and optical components for production
• Perform initial optical alignments
• Conduct quality control measurements and inspections
• Follow complex work instructions and develop new procedures
• Troubleshoot problems in collaboration with mechanical and optical engineering teams
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace following cleanroom protocols

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in an assembly environment
• Excellent manual dexterity for precision components
• Knowledge of optic cleaning procedures
• Knowledge of ESD and laser safety procedures
• Experience with torque limiting tools, micrometers, and calipers
• Ability to read and understand complex engineering drawings
• Computer literacy including Microsoft Office and data entry
• Ability to follow cleanroom protocols

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with optical components
• Experience with mechanical and optical bonds and adhesives
• Technical writing ability for work instructions
• Experience in a high volume production environment
• Proficiency with alignment and metrology tools (interferometers, optical power meters, infrared cameras)
