About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform real-time process surveillance, monitoring, optimization, and remote troubleshooting for global production assets
- Develop and modify process simulation models using standard software such as Aspen HYSYS or HTRI
- Collaborate with multi-discipline teams to build facility surveillance plans and review findings with site teams
- Identify facility constraints and develop options to improve or control them
- Troubleshoot and optimize equipment including heat exchangers, separators, pumps, and fractionation units
- Perform root cause analysis investigations for equipment failures or process upsets
- Support Management of Change (MOC) for facility modifications and engineering deliverables
- Identify and progress capacity enhancement, reliability improvement, and cost reduction initiatives
- Provide coaching and mentoring to early career engineers
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Petroleum, or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience in the oil and gas industry (Upstream, Refining, or Petrochemical)
- Experience in Process Engineering, Operations Support, or Technical Services roles
- Proficiency in process modeling tools such as Aspen HYSYS, HTRI, or PRO-II
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English
- Willingness to work in shifts (e.g., 1:30 PM – 10:30 PM IST) to provide global support
- Willingness to travel nationally and/or internationally as required
- Ability to work full-time from the Bengaluru, India office location
