About the role
Responsibilities
- Support facilities engineering in production assets globally through real-time process surveillance, optimization, and remote troubleshooting.
- Perform process monitoring and identify deviations to provide actionable resolutions to Operations teams.
- Use analytical tools for data-driven analysis to enhance visualization and identify actionable insights.
- Troubleshoot and optimize equipment and processes, including heat exchangers, separators, pumps, and fractionation units.
- Conduct root cause analysis investigations for equipment failures or process upsets.
- Develop and modify process simulation models using standard software such as Aspen HYSYS or HTRI.
- Deliver engineering packages for procurement and construction and support Management of Change (MOC) for facility modifications.
- Identify and progress capacity enhancement, reliability improvement, and cost reduction initiatives.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to early career engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Petroleum, or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience within the oil and gas industry (Upstream, Refining, or Petrochemical).
- Proficiency in process modeling tools such as Aspen HYSYS, HTRI, or PRO-II.
- Strong English communication skills (written and verbal).
- Willingness to work in shifts (e.g., 1:30 PM – 10:30 PM IST or 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM IST) to provide global support.
- Ability to work full-time from the Bengaluru, India office.
- Legal authorization to work in India.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in mentoring early career process engineers.
- Experience with various oil and gas industry process design and process safety standards.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
