Ops Manager - Credit Analytics & Data

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing team of data and analytics professionals in India, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
• Manage the delivery of core Credit Data & Analytics (CDA) services, including credit risk reporting, counterparty exposure monitoring, and portfolio dashboards.
• Champion the adoption of AI and machine learning techniques to enhance predictive modeling, anomaly detection, and NLP-driven data extraction.
• Oversee the full lifecycle of analytical products, from data sourcing and transformation to presenting insights to senior stakeholders and the CRO.
• Drive operational excellence by embedding Agile/sprint working practices and utilizing modern data platforms like Snowflake and Azure.
• Act as the primary operational interface between the India-based team and London-based senior stakeholders.

Requirements

• Proven experience in team management, including performance management, coaching, and workload prioritization.
• Strong proficiency in Python for data analysis and automation, including experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, XGBoost).
• Deep understanding of credit risk concepts such as counterparty credit risk, CVA, ECL, and exposure measurement.
• Practical experience in data engineering, data transformation, and using version control tools like GitHub.
• Experience working within Agile delivery methodologies (Scrum or Kanban).
• Ability to communicate complex technical and model outputs into clear business narratives for senior leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in energy trading, commodities, or an ETRM (Energy Trading & Risk Management) environment.
• Familiarity with IFRS 9, Basel III, or other credit risk regulatory frameworks.
• Exposure to Azure Data Mesh architecture, MLOps practices, or orchestration tools like Apache Airflow.
