About the role
Responsibilities
- Collaborate on the selection of screening protocols and the preparation of associated materials
- Provide instruction to school social workers on the use of screening protocols through live demonstrations with middle school students
- Observe social workers during screenings and provide professional feedback and guidance
- Model and provide guidance on short-term preventative interventions, including psychoeducation and referral encouragement
- Utilize interventions such as CBT, parent training, SBIRT, and motivational interviewing
- Participate in data collection regarding training effectiveness and feedback
- Travel to various school sites to conduct work in person
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience developing and delivering mental health, developmental disability, or addiction-related training programs
- 3+ years of related professional experience, specifically focused on training
- Strong understanding of evidence-based interventions (CBT, MI, or parent training) and mental health policies
- Experience working with children, particularly within school settings
- Demonstrated data management and analysis skills
- Strong public speaking, event coordination, and facilitation skills
- Ability to conduct training sessions in person, virtually, and in hybrid formats
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SBIRT (Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment)
- Experience with Motivational Interviewing (MI)
- Leadership experience
- Master's degree in psychology, social work, or a related field
