About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service during patient encounters
  • Perform initial testing including dilation, refraction, and pressures
  • Conduct diagnostic tests such as visual fields, OCT, GDX, and topography
  • Record patient medical history and medications in Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
  • Prepare patients for treatments and minor procedures
  • Measure and record vital signs including blood pressure and pulse
  • Maintain clean and stocked examination and treatment rooms
  • Document medical visits and procedures accurately for the Physician

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • One year of related experience or training
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Reliable transportation for potential travel between locations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) certification
  • Current Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) certification
