About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service during patient encounters
- Verify patient information, medical history, and current medications
- Record all data in electronic medical records
- Check patient eye conditions including pupils, muscles, and visual acuity
- Perform diagnostic tests including dilation, refraction, pressures, visual fields, OCT, GDX, IOL master, auto refractor, and topography
- Maintain eye anatomy and disease knowledge
- Perform general office duties and cleaning as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- One year of related experience or training
- Reliable transportation for potential travel between locations
- Ability to work overtime when needed
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
Preferred Qualifications
- COA or COT certification
