About the role
Responsibilities
- Triage patients and record accurate medical history documentation
- Obtain chief complaints and perform screenings including visual acuity, IOP, and pupillary checks
- Perform macular OCT and other retinal imaging
- Prepare exam rooms and patient charts for physicians
- Assist with in-office procedures and clinical trial recruitment
- Communicate patient care updates to team members and physicians
Requirements
- Valid U.S. driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
- Ability to travel between South Austin and San Marcos locations
- Proficiency with computer systems including Google, Microsoft Office, and Teams
- Ability to master ophthalmology and retina terminology
- Willingness to work irregular hours including early mornings or overtime
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in optometry, ophthalmology, or retina clinics
- COA, COT, or COMT certification
- Bilingual in Spanish
