Ophthalmic Technician

Responsibilities

• Gather patient histories and input medical data
• Take diagnostic images and prepare patients for exams
• Perform vision tests and assist with in-office treatments
• Travel to satellite clinics (paid travel time provided)
• Educate and comfort patients throughout their visit

Requirements

• Compassionate and professional with excellent communication skills
• Ability to learn medical technology and data systems quickly
• Valid Texas driver’s license with a clean 3-year record
• Willingness to travel to day clinics
• Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
• Fine motor skills for stooping, kneeling, bending, and crouching
• Specific vision abilities including depth perception and color vision

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual in Spanish
