About the role
Responsibilities
- Identify, lead, and facilitate continuous improvement projects aligned with PEAK (Lean operating system) initiatives.
- Analyze manufacturing processes and workflows to improve safety, quality, throughput, efficiency, and waste reduction.
- Support the implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles, including standard work, 5S, Kaizen, and value stream mapping.
- Partner with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality teams to implement process improvements and equipment optimization.
- Apply statistical methods and industrial engineering techniques to improve labor utilization and production efficiency.
- Develop and maintain productivity reporting, KPIs, dashboards, and operational metrics.
- Conduct time studies and workflow analysis to establish labor standards.
- Support problem-solving activities using structured methodologies such as DMAIC, A3, Fishbone Analysis, and 5 Whys.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
- 3–5 years of manufacturing experience with project management and process improvement responsibilities.
- Demonstrated expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and Kaizen.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in root cause analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, operating instructions, and technical documents.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP.
- Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or automation controls.
- Experience developing and analyzing operational performance dashboards.
