About the role

Responsibilities

  • Monitor equipment start/stop sequences and read gauges and meters to record activities in operating logs.
  • Use computers and monitoring equipment to measure, record, and make adjustments within operating parameters.
  • Perform plant maintenance tasks, including the diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Conduct chemical analysis and control on steam, cooling, and condensate systems while maintaining chemistry logs.
  • Assist in the development of standard operational procedures and provide input for plant efficiency and safety improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, State, and Federal regulations and plant procedures.
  • Operate heavy equipment such as manlifts and forklifts and handle the transfer of bulk chemicals.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, technical/vocational degree, or military service equivalent.
  • Approximately 6 years of directly related experience in power operations or a similar technical field.
  • Proven experience working with hazardous energy, chemicals, and waste materials, including safe handling and storage.
  • Experience using test equipment and calibration appliances.
  • Experience with machinery repair and control systems.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and a basic understanding of chemistry, physics, electricity, and mathematics.
  • Valid state driver’s license.
