Operator

Responsibilities

• Monitor sterilization systems by observing pressure, temperature, and relative humidity measurements on charts or computer monitors
• Adjust controls and turn valves to ensure safe equipment operation
• Observe sterilizers and auxiliary units to detect malfunctions and assist with repairs
• Document and record process readings accurately
• Report damaged products or system problems to the appropriate supervisor or maintenance technician
• Perform daily and weekly preventative maintenance tasks on equipment
• Store and remove chemicals in accordance with established procedures and laws
• Participate in plant safety committees and follow all safety regulations
• Oversee the work of Process Assistant Operators

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English
• Proficiency in basic mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals)
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and perform repetitive bending and lifting motions
• Forklift driving experience
• Willingness to work established shifts

Preferred Qualifications

• 6 to 12 months of experience working in a sterilization environment
• Basic computer skills
