About the role

Responsibilities

  • Monitor sterilization systems by observing pressure, temperature, and relative humidity measurements on charts or computer monitors
  • Adjust controls and turn valves to ensure safe equipment operation
  • Detect malfunctions in sterilizers and auxiliary units and assist with necessary repairs
  • Document and record all process readings accurately
  • Report damaged products or system problems to the appropriate supervisor or maintenance technician
  • Perform daily and weekly preventative maintenance tasks on equipment
  • Store and remove processing chemicals in accordance with established procedures and laws
  • Participate in plant safety committees and adhere to all safety rules and regulations
  • Oversee the work of Process Assistant Operators

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and perform repetitive bending and lifting motions
  • Forklift driving experience
  • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
  • Willingness to work established shifts

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6 to 12 months of experience working in a sterilization environment
  • Basic computer skills
