Operator, Slitting

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect products during operation and monitor equipment for proper functioning
• Assist with the setup and operation of production equipment
• Prepare and clean manufacturing rooms and equipment to maintain an orderly work area
• Ensure all products are properly labeled and stored
• Document material runs using Batch Production Records, In-Process Sheets, Log Books, and Time Sheets
• Perform calibration on scales, line meters, coating ovens, and micrometers
• Assist in training new personnel and coordinate the work of other operators as directed

Requirements

• High School diploma
• Minimum of two years of experience in a relevant field
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Lotus Notes
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to wear a respirator
• Physical ability to stoop, climb ladders or stairs, and stand or sit for extended periods
• Ability to identify small defects and distinguish between colors
