Operator, Packaging

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect products during operation and monitor equipment for proper performance
• Assist with the setup, operation, and maintenance of production equipment
• Prepare and clean manufacturing rooms and equipment to maintain an orderly work area
• Ensure all products are accurately labeled and stored according to protocol
• Document material runs using Batch Production Records, In-Process Sheets, Log Books, and Time Sheets
• Perform equipment calibrations on scales, line meters, coating ovens, and micrometers
• Coordinate the work of other operators and provide backup support to Senior Operators as needed
• Assist in training new personnel in manufacturing operations under supervision

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of two years of relevant experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Lotus Notes
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to wear a respirator
• Ability to stand, sit, stoop, or climb ladders/stairs for extended periods
• Strong mechanical, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to identify small defects and distinguish between colors
