Operator, Laminate Flooring

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate flooring manufacturing equipment and associated machinery
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on machinery and workspaces
• Utilize computer software to manage flooring line operations
• Identify and correct conditions leading to substandard quality or downtime
• Assist maintenance personnel with troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance

Requirements

• Ability to read and comprehend technical work instructions
• Ability to operate or learn to operate heavy machinery
• Proficiency with electric, pneumatic, or hand tools
• Ability to be trained and certified for forklift operation
• Ability to comprehend and manipulate metric measurements
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance
• Ability to work in extreme heat and cold environments
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders at a safe but rapid pace

• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Perfect or near-perfect attendance record
