Operator

Responsibilities

• Assemble and install process and auxiliary equipment using heavy equipment like forklifts and overhead hoists
• Commission, operate, and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment
• Prepare and execute system-level commissioning and maintenance procedures
• Perform acceptance testing including hydrostatic, pneumatic, and electrical calibrations
• Support day-to-day facility operations including startup, monitoring, and shutdown
• Perform chemistry sampling and analysis using standardized instruments
• Monitor equipment performance and take corrective action for malfunctions
• Conduct minor preventative and corrective maintenance and troubleshooting
• Execute Lockout-Tagout procedures and hazardous operations
• Assist engineering staff with R&D test programs

Requirements

• Associate or Bachelors degree in Engineering Technology or 2+ years of plant operator/technician experience
• Ability to work on-site in Albuquerque, NM for approximately 2 years
• Willingness to transition to Oak Ridge, TN long-term
• Ability to follow technical procedures and read P&ID or electrical drawings
• Experience with Instrumentation and Controls systems
• Ability to work with hazardous materials in full PPE (respirators, Tyvek suits)
• Proficiency with basic hand tools and computer spreadsheets
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in confined spaces or at heights
