Operator in Press

Responsibilities

• Lead the production line and crew to optimize overall performance and ensure high-quality product output
• Operate state-of-the-art offset and digital web presses
• Provide work direction, training, and skill development for crew members, including temporary staff
• Facilitate Tier 1 meetings and Gemba Walk discussions to drive process improvements
• Troubleshoot mechanical and technical issues to resolve machine downtime
• Communicate effectively across shifts and departments to maintain production continuity

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (vocational/technical degree strongly preferred)
• Proven experience leading and training others in an industrial setting
• Experience operating Web Offset and Sheetfed Offset Presses
• Strong mechanical and technical troubleshooting skills
• Experience with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, maintenance instructions, and production orders
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks involving standing, bending, and reaching
